Hotel Park
After 1950, the town centre started to emerge along today’s Delpinova Street instead of along the planned Kidričeva Street. On the western side of the street in the park, a restaurant and a café were built and then the town’s first hotel. The café used to be a popular meeting point and a dance venue. The atrium planted with greenery opened towards the street with arcades covered with an elegant shell roof. In the past, when there was enough snow, children would sledge there. The original complex consisting of the café and the hotel was designed by the Slovenian architect Stanko Rohrman, but was fundamentally changed with later conversions. In this hotel complex, a casino started to operate in 1984, which represented the beginning of the gambling activity in the Gorizia region.
