All objects not currently exhibited are kept in museum storage in the town of Ajdovščina. This is the biggest regional storage for movable cultural heritage. The two storage buildings of Goriški muzej are located in the former Srečko Kosovel military barracks in the town of Ajdovščina and in the settlement of Pale.
