The exhibition presents works by Avgust Černigoj from the collection of the Goriški muzej, and is complemented by works from other institutions and private collections, so that the most important phases of the artist's work can be highlighted.

In Villa Bartolomei are exhibited photographs from domestic and foreign concerts, which Goran Antlej, a music enthusiast and photographer from Gorenja Trebuša, has been visiting for decades, not as a passive listener, but as someone who wants to be actively connected to the music scene.

The exhibition is part of the project Marcello Mascherini, a sculptor among poets and writers of the twentieth century, promoted by the Archivio Marcello Mascherini in partnership with the Goriški muzej.

The exhibition is dedicated to the sculptor Marcello Mascherini (Udine, 1906–Padua, 1983), 40 years after his death, with a corpus of bronzes, sketches and etchings, but also photographs, original documentation and his work tools.

The Kromberk Castle, together with the Kulturni center Lojze Bratuž and the Kulturni dom of Gorizia, as well as the Beneška gallery of San Pietro al Natisone, is involved in the anthological exhibition project of Roberto Faganel and his son David Faganel. A selection of the works donated by Roberto Faganel to the Goriški muzej in 2012 is presented here, with the addition of the paintings from the mature work of the architect and painter David Faganel.

The Mattador Cultural Association (Associazione Culturale Mattador) was established in Trieste on 28 July 2009 with the aim of organizing and carrying on the Mattador International Screenplay Award dedicated to Matteo Caenazzo from Trieste. Matteo graduated in pictorial decoration at the Nordio Art School of his city and was a student at the Ca'Foscari University of Venice.

Duplex veritas is an art installation which changes and builds upon in time. Elements of the exhibition are put in a straight line which with time is breaking down, it is blurring. The exhibition is a reflection and a parody on the historical border line, that was drawn on a map with a ruler by Churchill and his associates, after the II. World War. The project plays with border’s function and its representation.

The archaeological remains from researched settlements reveal what a late prehistoric home was like, what the interiors of houses looked like, and which activities were practised in them. There are many known settlements from the Early Iron Age (9th-4th century BC) in the vast area shaped by the flow of the Soča River and its tributaries, but most of them are poorly researched. One exception is the settlement in Most na Soči, where more than 30 houses have been discovered.

At the Goriški muzej we are presenting the donation of works by the sculptor Vasilij Žbona, a native of Miren, who spent most of his life in Paris, where he moved at a young age, in the sixties of the twentieth century, driven by a strong desire for change and to become part of the artistic world. The French capital attracted him as a great dynamic, multicultural and artistic urban center, which experienced a renaissance after the Second World War and which became, in the late sixties, the scene of great social changes.

This visiting exhibition from the Ethnographic Museum in Zagreb discusses a few key topics connected with the relationship between animals and humans: animal domestication, hunting, the meat industry, animals in folk art, symbolism, the attitude towards sacred animals, and the question of the importance attributed to pets in the past and present.

The graves are nice this time of year places embedded, traditional forms of commemoration and remembrance in a different light, brings forgotten elements to the surface and introduces new avenues. The photographs encourage reflection on commemoration and remembrance of the First World War, and also bring this memory to life.

Calligraphy is a genre of visual art that deals with the abstract design of lettering.

This exhibition commemorates the 71st anniversary of the creation of the western Slovenian border. It outlines the life in the area of Venezia Giulia before the border was created in 1947, and through the memories of the local population reveals the complex relationships within the region at the time of the Allied Military Government (AMG).

A retrospective exhibition on painter Rajko Apollonio is on display at Dobrovo Castle. “For Rajko Apollonio, painting is the personal and adventurous exploration of the dreary and mysterious sphere of spirituality, in which the history of one’s inner experience borders on the mysterious meaning of a looming symbolic vision of existence” writes Sergio R. Molesi.

Villa Bartolomei in Solkan is housing an exhibition of the Archives of the Republic of Slovenia entitled “Written Heritage: How It Is Conserved and Restored”, which focuses mainly on the restoration of books in archives and libraries.
